Okay, so beautiful Blair didn't get my "Facts of Life" reference when I told her I loved her name because when I was a little girl, I wanted to be Blair because she was the "pretty one". Instead I got to be Natalie, and I guess that's okay by me because she was the sweet, funny one anyway :-)
But THIS Blair was absolutely STUNNING! I could have taken pictures of her all day long. What a beautiful girl! I actually got goosebumps while shooting her pictures. It's such a blessing to do something that gives me goosebumps. How many people can say that????
Thanks Blair for such a great morning. Have fun on your Slip N Slide!

We've been trying to get pictures in with this family for ages and we FINALLY managed to not get rained out! I am so happy with the shots that we got. The lighting was really perfect. I LOVE that magic hour right before the sun goes down. There's nothing like it! If I could take pictures at any time of the day, this would be it!
Thanks Keely for letting me take pictures of your gorgeous family!

This kid is just FUN. There's no other way to describe it. I was so excited to use this new location (Thank you Mr. Henry!!!) There are some amazing places along Route 66 and I'm just lucky enough to live in a town that it cuts straight through. I'll have to make it my mission to travel down Rt. 66 someday and take lots of pictures along the way. I'm so pleased with the shots we got today. There were so many interesting things to shoot and the little guy was happy to throw on his hat and cowboy boots and ham it up for me. What an awesome kid!

Sometimes I honestly feel like I get to capture love as it's floating in the air and put it inside a photograph. I know it sounds silly but there are times when I just can't help but FEEL the love inside of a picture. It's amazing. It's such a blessing. I've said it before and I'll say it again, NO love is like a mother's love. And no photograph gives me the warm fuzzies like a photograph that captures a mother's love for her child. It is so raw and so pure...it's like nothing you can put in to words.
I had an amazing session tonight with this family. We had one that was roaring and ready to go and one that was tuckered out...and managed to get some really beautiful shots. Thank you for giving me a glimpse into your world...and allowing me to capture your beautiful moments today.

Oh Cooper...you are the cutest little thing I've ever seen. Those curls! Those eyes. What a little heartbreaker you are! I had a great time with Cooper and his mommy and daddy on Mother's Day. Let me tell you...Mr. Cooper is ALL BOY. He is curious and adventurous and (WOW) hard to keep up with! We had a great shoot and I can't wait to see all the great shots we got!

Your Auntie Chi will never get tired of taking your picture. Your mom and I joked when she was pregnant with you that you would be calling me "Aunt Camera Flash Face". I wonder if you will ever really know how lucky you are to have your Mommy and Daddy. I was driving yesterday and saw a man pushing a baby stroller...he was bent over cooing at his baby and smiling and laughing...and it melted my heart. Especially when I got close and saw that it was you and your Daddy. I always knew that my sissy (your Mommy) would be the most wonderful Mommy in the world but what I didn't know was that she would choose just the right Daddy for you. I know when you're older you won't remember this, but all he has to do is look at you and you smile the biggest smile. You even laugh when he coughs. You're smitten...and so is he. And it's the most amazing thing to see. So when you're a teenager and you think you're parents are HORRIBLE...remember how they loved you...from the moment they met you...with a fierceness you will never comprehend. You are one lucky little Ruby. Always remember there is no place like home. I love you.

Ali was SO much fun to shoot. Bless her heart...it was such a cold day and she was a CHAMP. She was a little reserved at first but really let go and had some fun after a while. Mom was great at getting her to laugh. I am still cracking up about the silly things they were joking about. I had such a great time with them and we got some sweet shots!

It is SO cool for me to take someone's baby bump pictures and then come back and take pictures of their baby! Tage was just a round bump under mommy's shirt the first time I met him and I think it's safe to say he looks MUCH different this time around. What a doll-face! (And yes "T", I forgive you for throwing up on
me...but just because you're SO darn cute!)
